Vod stands against Oregon for Union president with ridiculous promises like cheap chips. However Oregon makes her see that her motives are not altruistic and caused by spite, whereupon Vod helps Oregon win by sabotaging her own campaign. Oregon is elected but finds that outgoing president Alison tricked her into candidacy out of revenge for sabotaging her Tunisian campaign and the Union is in financial difficulty. However this allies Oregon and Vod as they issue a statement to the students warning of tough times ahead. Howard and Candice finally get it together whilst Josie and Kingsley decide on an open relationship but find they cannot go through with sex with other partners and reunite.
